Notable Moments & Businesses I Started
I made it! Or so I thought. So many moments of anguish, pain, grind, and determination for this moment – and dreaming that tomorrow could be better. I dreamt of becoming a medical doctor in Neurology as a teenager as I went on to the next client to continue saving and using money strategically. Living in Houston, Texas – with the biggest medical center in the world I was spoiled at seen all the marvels of the world. I volunteered since high school in clinical and non-clinical environments as I remained focused in my career tomorrow.
After having worked at MD Anderson for 1 year and having published 4 medical papers – I was really feeling myself and I decided to register my first business although I didnt really have any business experience in terms of maintaining an entity. Looking back – I am glad I did because I learned many valuable lessons that helped me in the future. How I got involved in this industry? Myself like many others – watching late night infomercials; I stumbled into some TV real estate investing commercials and making money. Being someone always trying to decrease stress – I wanted to give it a try. I attended in-person events and went in all in with studying books and courses. Eventually in 2018 – I pulled the trigger and left medicine and obtained my first job at The Credit Agents working in digital marketing directly with the CEO. This is where I was exposed to finance and the mechanism of real estate deals.
I began entrepreneurship when I was middle school with cryptocurrency back in 2007. I exchanged currency for people for exchange for other currencies like Paypal money and earned a 30% profit per transaction. During 2015 – As I began earning what I thought was “real money” from my job working in research The University of Texas MD Anderson.
I decided to open Progress Media Group as a means to incorporate myself for business deduction purposes. I had no idea this was even possible working in medicine – it was shocking that I had never taken advantage of all the help available to new business owners. I felt a huge sense of relief knowing there was a sense of support. As mentioned – I have worked online as a freelancer since I was a teenager; by 2018 I began attempting to represent myself with my new business to obtain clients to help them grow their businesses with digital marketing and business strategies.
